Mike & Jessica | Dunham Hills Golf Club Wedding | June 8th 2019
All the weddings I photograph are special to me, but this one was a little extra special. Jessica, is one of my cousins so I was very excited when I was asked to photograph her wedding.
Mike & Jessica didn’t want to see each other before the wedding, but did want a photo with Mike blindfolded and Jessica pretending to peek around the door and see him. I love getting to do these photos. They always have so much emotion without the couple even seeing each other.
The ceremony was short and sweet which left us with plenty of time to explore the golf course for some great photos of the couple. We could have spent hours driving around getting lots of great photos. With the limited time we did have we were still able to get go to all the best spots.
With the clouds moving in throughout the day I had a feeling we were going to have a great sunset for more pictures. It ended up being better than I expected. We had a limited window before it got really dark, but we made the most of it again. When we started we caught the last little bit of sun before it went below the trees and by the time we made it back to the reception the sky had caught fire and we were able to capture a few final shot of that.
It was great to be able to capture Mike & Jessica’s beautiful wedding and I even got to see a lot of cousins that I rarely get to see and that was just the icing on the cake.
